Austerity certainly seems to be the plan of our current government, Robyn … unless you're a banker, that is. And yes, we had forty years of austerity here after the war so we're used to finding inspiration out of desperation.

Very clever. Austerity is hardly a plan, but it does inspire ingenuity, doesn't it?
The amount he saved on white paint, by using 1/3 less, meant he could afford the small dabs of red.
