These are the types of things we want to see when we travel to the U.K. again, sugar! The MITM and I have decided that London will be our starting point, but the next trip will be more of a tour of the countryside and any and every place outside of London we can get to! xoxoxoxo
Savannah, England is tiny. You can't drive for more than four or five hours without falling off the edge. What you will need, however, are some serious walking boots. xoxoxoxo
"I'm gonna sit right down and write myself a letter..." (Fats Waller) -- that's what this reminds me of. I wonder if any songs written at this desk? Or if it was just used to tally up the books each day?
Yay for good ol' boogie-woogie tunes, Ms.M. I imagine that if any music had been written here it would have involved a lute, or maybe that side drum in the dining room.
Petrea, they didn't need to fit a 27 inch iMac and a bunch of peripherals on the workstation in those days. The only thing I'd add to this scene is a steaming flagon of that new-fangled beverage they call coffee.

And I was thinking my desk is too small. This is so humble and beautiful. I love the light.

Love the plume and the way the light falls around the base.
Me, too. It's a beautiful room. The light is fantastic.
