Not So Hidden Norfolk - Blickling

Petrea is searching for a fantasy Norfolk pied-à-terre and this cute little cottage sprang to mind as one possibility.

Mind you, it is not exactly "Hidden Norfolk" unless - as I did here - one ducks down behind the peonies and then peeps out at it.
More about the place is available via the old "Katie and Dive Do Blickling" link way down in the sidebar if you fancy a stroll around the grounds.

I like the perspective of this photo. The ball-shaped ornament on the left looks like a globe of the world with the countries and oceans reformed -- a "brave new world"? :-)

Saving all my peonies to buy it.

It does indeed, Ms.M; an alternative planet where everything is as it should be.
As for the perspective, I have always been addicted to manual cameras; they make it so easy to get foreground and background in pin-sharp focus and still get the exposure right. So many of my photos are "point and click" since I've gone digital, but I put a bit of work into this one.

Neetzy, it's a bit small, but I think I could just about manage to live there.

Hee hee, Petrea, you know I'm a sucker for an excruciating pun. Thank you for that one.
