When Blogs Collide, Pt.18

Well woo and indeed hoo!

Not only was yesterday our ace Norwich blogger and radio star Joy's birthday (Yaaaay!!), but also the day she and Thom moved into their lovely new home, armed with paintbrushes and party food.

Don't go trying to count the candles on Joy's cake; I cropped them out as a gentleman should do.

Brown!
Auuuugh!
This is all going to be a lovely blue before the furniture gets moved in. Being a lazy slob I ducked out and did a runner before the painting started (sorry, Thom).
Joy and Thom are such lucky bunnies. They've managed to find a lovely house with big, double bedrooms and off-street parking within ten minutes walk of the centre of the city.
By the time they have finished decorating and moving in it is going to be amazing.

It even has a garden! Not overlooked, either. Though today was our first non-sunny day for ages and it was too cold for the planned barbecue.

That magical moment when the SOLD sign comes down.
I'm sure you'll all join me in wishing Joy a belated happy birthday and both Joy and Thom our very best wishes in their new home (especially as we managed to escape all the painting and decorating, hee hee).

Hahaha. I went home at midnight, and Thom came home at 1am. Going back there in a few minutes. Hope you can make it to my proper birthday bash - no need to bring anything but yourself, and if you like, a date :D

Thanks for my lovely card and the wine!

The housewarming is on the 20th of April. Mark that on your calendar!

It's marked down, Joy. Trains permitting I'll be there, though dateless I'm afraid.
Now get back to work! That painting won't do itself (hee hee).

I'm kind of glad i wasn't passing too, with all those paintbrushes being handed out! It looks lovely Joy and Thom and VERY spacious inside i thought. I wish you much happiness there. Great pics, Dive, especially the sign's demise. You're right, that's a great moment. Just lovely. This is a feel-good post, for sure. Helps us to prepare for an onslaught weather-wise tonight huh Dive. We are told to stay in, all over the place, but especially near the coast as the worst storm for many years is on its way. Batten those new hatches, Joy and Thom. I know you're not on the coast but, well, they've been wrong before! Ypu've a lovely home there.
I'd come as your date, Dive, if only i could make it, i'd be very proud to.

Ripper shots, Dive.
Any mathematician could see that with 1/2 the candles cropped out, Joy must be a bit over 16.
Well, she looks that young.
Must be the nice English weather and all the painting you've been doing for them !!

Happy house, - to both Thom and Joy.
We'll have a few drinks for you all on the 20th.

ooooooooooo, I love painting. I would have helped had I been in the country.

Congratulations to Joy and Thom. The house looks adorable.

Yikes! I nip out for lunch and my comments box fills up.
Thanks to everyone on behalf of Joy and Thom.
Lynn: I would be honoured. Hee hee.

Congratulations to Joy and Thom!

I am not a happy painter. I manage to do things like step in it or knock over cans. It is my special talent.

That's a great talent, Maria.
I'm glad it's kept safely the other side of the Atlantic!

If by any chance i am in the area, i'll check if you are partnered by then for the occasion!

Hee hee.
Bring crinolines!

Hi Lynn! Yeah, why don't you make a trip to Norwich on the 20th of April. Should be fun.

Dive took those photos - neither Thom nor I was ready for snaps. Ugh.

But yes, love our new home. Moving on Easter Sunday. Loads of painting more to do. But it's looking pretty good.

Dive, take Lynn as your date!

Savannah - thank you :D

Mr Benaut - if you like, I can save a couple of glasses for you. Would that be red or white? Thanks for the well wishes.

Robyn - thank you! I'm enjoying painting the house, too. I can only wish there were more hours in a day. Will post photos once done.

Maria - thank you! And would you believe that in the two days we were painting, I didn't once get any paint on my clothes?!
