Norfolk? Flat?

Too busy to rant today, so as a filler here's some eye candy. I took this on the way home from Japanese classes a couple of weeks back. Click on it and it will grow.

Who on earth said that Norfolk is flat and wet?
Ah … Mister Dickens, j'accuse! This is one of the places from David Copperfield. It hasn't changed much.
Why the hell would I want to move to London when I live here?

I can certainly think of worse places to call home.

Dive, this is absolutely beautiful.

It certainly is nice here today. I'm sitting here with the windows open and a soft breeze blowing through and all I can hear is birdsong (and some old git hammering away at a computer keyboard).

OK, that is lovely.

Very beautiful Dive. Flat it is, but I wouldn't mind it for a week or two. Gotta have my mountains.

Ah, you New England girls.
One day I'll make it there and see for myself.

Now I'm going to have the song "Sittin on the dock of a Bay" in my head all night.

My pics are back and I'll blog a bit later.

That's a pretty good song to have stuck in your head, Kate.
And nice stripes, by the way.

You live in a lake ???

I used to dream of living in a lake.
We lived for three months in a paper bag in a septic tank.......etc.
God bless the four Yorkshiremen.

(sigh) thank you for memories of home. I've always believed that it was Noel Coward who put about the idea that Norfolk's flat, and I've cursed him every time I've heard someone ignorantly claim the same. Perhaps Coward was quoting Dickens? Either way, beautiful picture.

I've just worked out why full is called full. D'oh!

You are taking Japanese classes? How interesting.

I always liked the way it sounded...very sure and earnest. You never hear a Japanese person talk and sounding pensive. They always sound like you should be listening up.

How's the travelling going? ;)

Can't see too many mountains in this shot, cobber. Where the hell are they, then.
