Monday Melee

Hokay, who drugged my latte? It's Fracas Monday Melee and my ranty gland's malfunctioning. I'm sitting here as happy as a dog with two cocks.
Hey ho.

1: The Misanthropic.
(Name something - about humanity - you absolutely hate).
This week I have been mostly hating all the usuals, but for some stupid reason I'm in la-la land this morning and have lost the will to rant so I'll forgive the lot of 'em.

2: The Meretricious:
(Expose someone or something that's phony, fraudulent or bogus).
My office telephone. Since last year the answerphone message on my direct line states that I'll be out of the office until September the fifth.
Neither I, nor any member of IT can get it so save any updated message, so if anyone needs me I'll be out of the office until September the fifth.
Please leave a message after the tone.
At least it's right once a year …

3: The Malcontent:
(Name something you're unhappy with).
War. HUH! Good God, y'all. What is it good for? Absolutely nothing (sing it again).
Well actually it's pretty good for arms sales but I'm not exactly happy with that either.

4: The Meritorious.
(Give someone credit for something and name it if you can).
Jake and Dinos Chapman for making me laugh out loud in the Tate Gallery. Their new exhibition involves brains, prosthetic genitalia and rubber chickens. Go see it.

5: The Mirror.
(See something good about yourself and name it).
I have astonishingly good finger vibrato.

6: The Make-Believe:
(Name something you wish for).
The return of Disco.

Actually I'm desperate for a rant, Kate, which is why your blog is so refreshing today.
I've tried kick-starting my ranty gland but it seems dead to the world.
Hey ho.
Something crap is bound to happen soon; it always does.

I seem to be ranting quite a lot lately which is very unusual for me. Perhaps we have temp. swapped personalities. Good to see you happy Dive. Oh and... disco? What are you thinking.

Wouldn't it be nice to be out of the office until September 5, as long as it was for good reasons and not because of some nasty illness or something. I know I would like to be out until September 5. Can you at least specify a year, say 2015?

Lynn: as the asteroid I asked for last week failed to materialise and destroy the world I thought I would ask for the next worst thing I could think of and Disco is it.

Robyn: I like being in my office; it's the seven and a half hour a day commute from Hell that I could do without. At least I can get on-line when I'm here; my connection at home is crap.

I do wish people wouldn't upload video. My connection at home is too slow to allow me to watch it and I can't be caught watching it at work.
Photos are bad enough; especially on Knudsen's sites. And your … er … soapy boob shot, Kate … Lovely as it was, it meant that I couldnt have your blog up at work.
Rats.

You're as happy as a dog and you've got two cocks? I'm glad you're happy too. Whatever you did over the weekend, make sure you do it more often. That'll be watching Gene Wilder classics? Or maybe there's something you're not telling us? I'm envious that you're so close to the Tate Mod. I haven't been to see Gilbert and George yet. (ashamed)

I've given up on even trying to upload a video(but i'm still going to rant about it) so I'll simply do this, anyone who wants to see it email me mschaoticperfection@hotmail.com

As for soapy bits well, you have to get your inspiration from all sorts of places don't you?
Ok, no more soapy bits, I'll email them direct to Old K.

I love your email name, Kate.

And Pea, go and see G&G! That's an order!
And Jake and Dinos are at Tate Britain, not Tate Modern. Tate Brit is three minutes walk from the office, just down on the river. And the Turner gallery is in there, too, so go there as well.

Bloggers Mr Cellophane christened me ms chaotic perfection and it stuck.
Disco is definately not dead, at least in my car, I was driving around yelling the lyrics to "I will survive" today.

Good finger vibrato? Did all the women just melt?

I'd love to see the exhibition at the Tate, thanks for rubbing it in!

At least I wasn't rubbing it in with my finger vibrato, Groover.

Hey, Ame, I went back to the British Museum last week to check out the bits we didn't get to. I'll post the Japanese bit today.

Prosthetic genitalia...it just sort of floats right off the tongue, doesn't it?

I do miss those days of dancing disco in my platform shoes and Marilyn white dress. Do the hustle..

Except I sort of recall being really, really stoned when I did it. Maybe that made all the difference.
