If you can picture the sound of a hyena being beaten with bagpipes (go on, try it); then (a) that's what she sounded like, and (b) you're a little bit weird.
Funny to think of dive - don't you hate crazy laughs when the crazy laugher is with you. when they are with someone else you can make fun out of em. I once went to a movie with a woman who laughed through the whole movie - very disturbing because she even laughed at the scenes that were not really funny to most people.
In Australia we can celebrate anything, we have migrants from most places, and their traditions are always a hoot. We probably do have road grader races, (with bagpipes, AND hyenas). It's just a matter of being in the right place at the right time. In Coober Pedy, they celebrate road signs. These signs say, " Do not walk backwards". That's because the whole place has holes everywhere; mine shafts. After a night at the pub, it's advisable to walk forwards. Right? The population of Coober Pedy "varies" because of these mineshafts. There's probably a few Ford Anglias down there too.
I work with a woman who has this laugh like Bert's from Sesame Street. I've never told her this, of course. Because 1) She has tenure and I don't. 2) She would know that I still watch Sesame Street even though Liv has outgrown it and 3) She is sleeping with the boss man and I once commented to someone that she sort of looked like a sheep would if they smiled and I think it got back to her because she stopped smiling at me.
Dive, you are missing today so I will have to say have a nice weekend on this post. We are off for a 3 day weekend and hopefully I will be drunk for 1/2 of it! See ya Tuesday!

What about the other one which was a Ford Anglia attempting to start on a very cold morning.
That used to surface from time to time.
Oh yeah? Well sometimes I snort.
Sometimes you snort what?
It is good to keep those memories! Enjoy your giggle as you did long ago, it sounds like fun to me!
It sounded like a hyena being thrashed with wheezy bagpipes to me.
And that was just when she laughed huh?
It's OK Sassy, sometimes I snort, too. The thought of anything being beaten with bagpipes is so ridiculously funny.
