Well Done, Older Person …

Dear Guardian,

Okay, so I'm fifty-four, but I don't need my newspaper to remind me of the fact.
It is a sad reflection on the state of the nation that simply being able to recognise trees labels me an "older" person.
Were I not laughing so hard at your quizmaster's gentle, patronising mockery I might have taken offence.

Best Regards

David (elder).

I knew trees better when I was a younger person. I had a relatively comprehensive knowledge of what grew in northern Illinois.

Then I moved to California, where all the flora looks like a Dr. Seuss drawing, and I don't know anything.

By the way, if you want to know what grows here, take a look at the Potbellied Sneeches.

What a sappy quiz (somebody had to say it).

Do your Potbellied Sneetches have stars on their bellies??

Hee hee. Hoorah for the good Doctor.

Thank you, Ms.M. for starting my week properly with an excruciating pun.
