I confess to rather liking this week's sentence. It is from H. G. Wells' classic, 'The War Of The Worlds.'
The sentence is:
'There was something fungoid in the oily brown skin, something in the clumsy deliberation of the tedious movements unspeakably nasty.'
You know the rules. Have fun and get messy.

Oh boy, the temptation to make it about aliens is strong. Would that be the easy way out?
Vanda: easy is not always bad.
I'm done!

BP-appropriate.
Katherine's above comment = brilliant.
Vanda: I know I overuse the word 'awesome' but your story this week is awesomely awesome. I want to read the novel and discover the full story of Sam, Lobo and the rest of the 'family' over the following decades.
Katherine: Hee hee hee!
Pilgrim: I second that.
Fungoid.
God I like that word.
Reminds me of the latest nightmare spawn I'm working with.
I'm tentatively flexing my fingers and easing back in to blogging.
I thought I might do 500 words this week but "fungoid" has me off on another tangent.
Next week i'll flex the literary fingers.
BTW hi guys, i've missed you. xox
Hi, Kate! Miss you, too!
I can't wait for you to start flexing those typing fingers again. In the meantime, enjoy applying fungicide to your nightmare spawn.
