Off to see Phil's new band tonight.
In the meantime, here's the last of the ludicrous rehearsal videos of me playing with Tony's band of very elderly reprobates. Boys grow old but we never grow up.
The only good bit is when it cuts off before the end as my camera ran out of memory. Yay!
I make no excuse for its utter awfulness; in fact I rather revel in it.

Shake it baby!
But not so much that there is nothing left to shake when you see your baby! ;)
(Hi Katie!)
You're a braver man than I, Dive, dancing in front of us. Phew! I liked the hopping and the Hell's Angel style bent arm waving. Most entertaining. You look great in all seriousness dear Dive, I think in my mind's eye I can see you jiving. Do you jive? Come on truth. I reckon you jive. Well.
you're a good sport, sugar! xoxox
boy, I love these. I'm so sorry that's the last one. More!
Katie: I regret that it shakes of its own accord these days, sweetie.
And when you're as old as the rest of the guys, the line "Come on over, baby; whole lotta shakin' goin' on" takes on a whole other - and rather more distressing - meaning.
Cali: My shaking is carefully rationed.
Lynn: I don't jive, or any other kind of dance. I've spent my life up on stage rather than down on the dancefloor so I genuinely have no idea how to do any kind of dance except jigging around like a fool with a guitar strung around my neck.
Savannah: But a baaad dancer. Hee hee.
xoxox
Robyn: Have mercy on a poor fool.
Dive, next time put the camera in front of you instead of behind.
I'm truly surprised. You've got the moves.
I'm with Lupine Lady, even at the risk of crushing it. It's what we need.
I agree with Lynn, you've got the moves. Ever do any Hendrix tricks?
very enjoyable. and it's sad when it cuts off at the end, really it is. the funny part is that you guys aren't so old at all, and mick jagger is, what, almost 70, right? hell FIRE, man, that's scary.
Lupine Lady: my bottom is my best feature.
Lynn: Hee hee. I won't be going back in thee studio for a while now, but I shall try to find a better camera angle next time.
Ms.M: I used to, back in the seventies, but it looks a little sad at my age.
Trish: the other three guys are WELL into their seventies; I'm just standing in for their fourth member while he's on holiday.
Their tag line is "Back from the dead! For one night only."
Woo Hoo! Well you haven't lost your touch for an old boy and you can shake it pretty well too. In fact, I'd pay money to see that on stage. We did have fun in those "old" days didn't we?
Love it. Love it. Did I mention that I love the new video features? Well, I do. :)
That is not a camera angle I could pull off myself. Always from above is my personal motto.
Mme: We did indeed have a lot of fun back then. Mercifully we can still remember some of it.
Shan: Glad you like the new video feature, as this is the last one.
Hee hee,
I'll take some proper footage next time we go into the studio, but that will be a while yet, and hopefully with better musicians!
Always from above just shows my bald patch. Hey ho.
