Never mind that most of them are drivel.
And hey, tomorrow is Robyn's third Blog Birthday too!
Sheesh! We're getting old.
So anyhoo … It is time for the Official Sentence Setter to give you this week's 500 Words assignment.
I'll collect 'em all up ready for next Thursday so you have plenty of time.
The sentence this week is taken from Mario Vargas Llosa's hilariously oddball romance "Aunt Julia And The Scriptwriter".
It is forty words long and should be included in the word count, which leaves you a mere four-hundred and sixty of your own words to come up with.

The sentence is:
"But with the passage of the years Lucho Abril Marroquin was to tell himself that of all the instructive experiences of that morning the most unforgettable had not been either the first or the second accident but what happened afterwards."
Hmm … Not so ambiguous as last week.
There is a definite path this one has to take, which should exercise your minds nicely.
I shall expect the unexpected and hopefully not be disappointed.

I think I'll let others have fun with Lucho and his accidents, and just pull up a chair once all writing's been done. I don't want to break a nail or anything. Lots of directions to take this sentence, that's for sure.

I'm no story teller so don't participate in your 'first sentence' challenge, but I'll gladly wish your blog a happy 3rd birthday...that's a lot of words and events to be thought up, but obviously you're up to the challenge; a real pleasure reading about your various thoughts and adventures. Hey! I just realized I'm two-and-a-half! We're from the same generation.
Happy Third! I just had my first blogoversary. (I have no idea how to spell that). I believe it was the end of July.

This writing challenge is very intimidating. I'm not sure if I'm up to it. I will post one of the paintings I have been working on before I even attempt to write.
I had to add in my congrats as well. You know I guess I have been enjoying your unique outlook on the world and hilarity for maybe half your blog life. You are truly one of a kind Dive and I'm so glad to know you! :)
Oh and I don't have the concentration skills to write anything worth reading at this time, so I'm just going to stay in the audience. My writing is currently at about third grade level and not worth the screen it is typed upon.
