Well you no longer seem to be full of moans, grumps and insults Dive and we see the inner you! I like it!
Katie is what happened to you :D xx

I adore Doris Day, I really do. Her acting, her humour, her looks and of course that wonderful voice so thank you for that so much!

I'm going to play it again... :) Happy girl. Thanks!

Just read yesterday's comments all again. Isn't it marvellous? Everyone's so pleased for you. A good love story can't be beaten... :)

Can't disagree with all of the above. old son.

But Doris Day kept the shooter holstered and she only told the golden daffodils.

Perhaps perfection will be improved upon ?

Nous sommes tous extrêmement fiers de toi, monsieur !!

Savannah: That's a scary thought! Hee hee.

Lynn: I've been grumpy for half a century and it's about time I tried happiness for a change.
Glad you enjoyed Doris!

MB: I'm pretty darned chuffed myself. Hee hee.

T: Au contraire; I've got it goooood!

What a crazy coincidence. I'm at my mom's house and I was just outside with my horse singing to the flowers! The neighbors told me to shut the hell up, so I guess they aren't interested in hearing about my secret love. Anyhoo, now it's breakfast time so I should go eat. I don't think Mom made a full English, but I think there will be scones. More soon!!

Oh my gosh!! I used to play this on the piano when I was a kid over and over. hee hee

You're turning into an absolute sap. Have you shoved Stauffer under the sofa or something?

Hee hee hee, Katie!
Enjoy breakfast with your mom and give her my love.
I'm just making clam chowder (I'm such an American).
xx

Happy Birthday, young Robyn! Yay!
Glad you liked the song.
Stouffer is currently relegated to a bookshelf in the gym from where no doubt he is planning some awful revenge on me.

As a matter of fact, Dive, I've never had one of these! Then again, unlike Katie, I'm not the horse riding, singing to the flowers type! Hee hee!

Doris is so unblemishy and wholesome. And her eyes twinkle.

Only she could get away with wearing a starchy white shirt whilst out riding a pony. And that pink lippy stick! I want it. Now.

I still say that nobody looks as perfect with Doris as Rock. I don't care if he was gay. He and Doris are like a nice bowl of vanilla ice cream and hot fudge sauce.

And Joni has it SO right...

"I want to renew you...I want to shampoo you..."

dive said...

Cali: perhaps you should saddle up and start singing to flowers … if that doesn't constitute an arrestable offence where you are.

Maria: Rock was gay? You're kidding! I'm fast running out of straight icons … At least I still have Liberace.

I'd forgotten about that particular line from the song. Hee hee!

Alifan said...

That was Uncle Paddy's favourite song, think I still have the 45" up in the loft.....

Is this my Son??? Katie you have worked wonders..

Cheltenhamdailyphoto said...

You didn't know Rock was gay? Sheesh, as you might now say.

Katie the image of you outside with your horse singing to the flowers about Dive is...just... inspiring. Those neighbours obviously don't know what they're talking about. How dare they anyway? lol. Carry on singing, Sweetie, I say.

Hey Dive I've posted more of the Cheltenham Food & Drink festival pics. You know, this festival you would LOVE. Why don't you and Katie try to make it next year? Fun!

Wow. Doris Day. It has been a while since I have seen anything she's in. Maybe I should update my Netflix queue.

Cheltenhamdailyphoto said...

Have you seen there's a message for you over at Katie's comments box from an Anon?

Anonymous said...

That's not an anonymous message--that's from Kim's Arthur, the French member of the family. Dive, be sure to look and answer. I hope they find you! It'll be worth it, from both sides!
I've been so excited that I'm telling people who don't even know anyone involved and probably don't even know what blogging is.

Well that was a treat. I adore that riding suit and the way she tosses her leg over the top of the (western) saddle. Very nice looking horse too.
She can sing dear and I can imagine how your heart soared at that "Now".
It must be wonderful to shout your love from the rooftops "at last".
Katie dear, I always knew he was a fine man and thanks to you, the whole world knows the truth now.
xxx to you both.

The curmudgeon thing has been an act, at least for the last few months then? It's very good, and you can bring it out when you need it.

I talk to plants, does that count?

Lulubelle B said...

Hee-Hee. I'm very happy for you and Katie.

Petrea Burchard said...

I'd miss the curmudgeon thing if it left entirely, you know? I mean, tiddle poo and whatnot, hey ho?

So does this mean you've ditched your Scrooge impersonation and Christmas will be different this year? :D

What do your officemates think of the happy Dive?

Here's something to get Doris off your mind, Dive:

Wow, that really looks like a California Live Oak woodland to me. Very much like outside of Livermore. They had to add the daffodils, though. Hey, Doris has a gun, doesn't she? What's she planning to shoot, a rattlesnake?

Anyway, now that the big secret is OUT, I thought I'd drop by to say welcome to the family, bwah ha ha ha ha!!!

I'm glad our beloved Katie (that tall, willowy glamourpuss with pretty hands) has high standards, so she waited long enough to meet you.
