Look Out. He's Off Again.

The lovely Fresh commented on the last post that she's pleased I'm a member of the Anti-God-Squad.

Time to get pedantic:
I'm not "anti-God", Fresh. That would imply that there is a God to be "anti" at.
Actually, being anti-God would be deliciously tempting; knowing that He's sitting there with His finger over the "SMITE" button, glaring at me. Hee hee.

BUT …
Old Dive has said it many times and it bears repeating:
Listen up:

There is no GOD (there are no "gods" either, come to that).
There is no afterlife.
There is no Heaven (no need to imagine that, Mister Lennon).
There is no Hell (outside of long distance commuting).
There are no angels (sorry, Charlie).
There is no immortal soul (with the possible exception of Aretha singing "Say A Little Prayer").
There are no ghosts, just sad delusional fuckwits.
There are no fucking aliens; that anal probe is merely a repressed memory of your creepy uncle when you were a kid.
There is NONE of that superstitious, wank-brained crap.

There's just us; a bunch of stupid mammals fucking things up.

By the way, if I get struck by lightning today, it's just lightning.
Hee hee.
Smite me!

I mostly was commenting that it seems that you don't have an appreciation for the god-squad. Not implying that you are against any so called god, which as you state here, and I agree with, doesn't exist.

So, sorry for being unclear, and thanks for the rant. it's a good'un! ;)

Yours truly,
a stupid mammal fucking things up.

Hee hee. Sorry, Fresh.
"Dive" likes to rant from time to time and if I don't let him he leaves sharp biscuit crumbs in my bed.

Hennyway; this mammal is still "smite" free, though it is clouding over rather ominously outside.
Yikes!

And actually, the "God Squad" fascinate me.
They're scary but fun, like poking scorpions with sticks.

lmao @ god with a smite button.
There are ghosts, i've seen them.
Your not anti god - your just waiting for the forensic proof as am I.

Kate, insightful distinction there. I suspect you're right that Dive is not quite anti-God, even if he doesn't like the phrase.

Dive, I officially invite you to Nebraska to meet our resident house guest, Madge.

Yup. That is REALLY her name. She and her husband built and owned the home we live in now. He died of cancer and she followed him five years later of cancer as well and died in our master bedroom.

I was the first to see her. And then Liv. Bing didn't see her for the first two years and swore that we were both just being "jumpy." And then, she got up NAKED one night to get a glass of milk at 3 in the morning. THAT was when Madge decided to appear to her.

I am not kidding when I tell you that Bing actually SOMERSAULTED back into the bed, she was terrified and babbling. I often remind her of this when I am feeling particularly snippy.

So...come and stay with us anytime, bloke....

Hee hee, Maria. Sorry about the "ghost' comment; I'm probably too curmudgeonly for them to show themselves to me.
As for Bing; try hanging a sheet up in the doorway to get her to do the somersault again, and keep a camera handy. That sounds so cool!

Kate: Ditto with the apology. And you have got me sussed, as Robyn well knows. I was raised a good Christian, then had my crisis of faith, but I'm quite happy to fall on my knees and testify if anyone can prove God's existence to me.
But they've gotta have the maths to back it up.
Any takers?
Be warned; I'm a master debater (er …) that didn't sound right.

I guess it all comes down to how we perceive god to be. A god can be a chair for instance or any object or person (if we wish) the god of our own choice is what I believe - such as a higher power.

dive said...

A chair God!
That's fetishism, Rich (hee hee).

Fun though.
I think I'll make me a golden calf (OW! … Sorry, Robyn).

If you don't believe in yerself how can you be expected to believe in God?
Atheists it seems don't believe in god but have a name 'atheist' for not believing in something that doesn't exist to them so they are fuck wits. The people who worship and even hate god give him/ them life, what you don't believe in the power of the mind? you only believe what you see and touch? you are such a limited emotionally stunted person but I knew that anyway, the mind is like a parachute, it only works if its open.

I too have seen ghosts or spirits as I prefer to call them and other type entities, just because you haven't seen them doesn't mean they don't exist but that is just yer opinion no matter how mistaken it is. Just because you can't hear the trees talk it doesn't mean they aren't talking.

You've gone to the other extreme from those who know the will of god and stone people to death, not very balanced.

There is more to heaven and earth yadda yadda yadda.

I am the way!

we are all gods you fool.

You are the way and the life, Old K.

And are you sure it wasn't the spirits you were drinking when you saw the ghosts?

Anyhoo; this is my planet and you are all figments of my imagination.

Hee hee, Jules. You certainly do live in Paradise.
And your internet connection is as bad as the one in my village, which is made of mud and straw and powered by a donkey.
