Sigh …
I miss her already.
So as I'm a bit of a tart I'll make mysef feel better by doing a post for some other lovely ladies.
Woohoo! One of London's gay taxis that you love so much.
The Tiffany corner of the Art Deco room at the British museum.
The missing caryatid from the Erectheion in Athens, stolen by Lord Elgin. The model for your lovely "Cheltenham Ladies".
Hey guys. I'm lonely. Who's coming to visit next?

Thanks for the Tiffany glass, Dive! No matter how good they look in a photo, that irridescence is awesome in real life.
What's the strange black thing on the right? It looks like a decapitated lady-in-waiting...?
Sorry to hear you're feeling lonely. Maybe it's Knudsen's turn next...
Be careful of what you wish for...
I'd love to come visit...but I must admit that you would be in some peril. I am one of those Americans who find british accents to be almost an aphrodisiac. I'm serious! I once had a co-worker who was in Nebraska for one semester and I used to get so caught up in his accent when we would talk, that I could scarcely keep track of the conversation.
And I would say stupid things to him like, "Say cup of tay (tea) again! I love how you make tea sound so delicious."
Bing accused me of being an accent whore.....
Oooh! I love my gift thank you! lol it's great to see the model, how interesting.
I will definitely visit when next with the parents, but don't know when that might be. I rather hanker after your regular visit to the bookshop and cafe, sounds just divine. lol.
Divey BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOY!
Much GRASS!!! AWWWWWWWWWWW!
You're just too MUCH!
I really LOVE & MISS those Gay Rides!
OOPS! Sorry in advance for any offense! NONE taken! See? I can talk myself outta anything! LOL! ;)
I'll be back someday, don't worry...probably sooner than you can imagine!
OK, go ahead...I'll let your imagination run wild for awhile!
=)))
XOXO
Dive you're such a sweet.
Do I get a guitar pic soon or what? I'll only show you mine if oyu show me yours...
Pea: the thing that looks like a headless lady is in fact a headless lady. The label says it's a candlestick. Weird or what?
Fresh: Where's the fun in that?
Maria: Come on over. But you'd better bring Bing and Liv to chaperone us. Hee hee.
Lynn: Once Tewkesbury is no longer an island you'll have no excuse. The bookshop with its comfy chairs and good coffee awaits.
Ame: The sooner I see you and Bear again, the better.
Vic: As I've not posted a guitar pic for almost a week now, I'll see what I can do.
mmm comfy chairs - tick

Dive, old son, I have tears in my eyes. I'm gunna get there, I promise. August 2008. My son's getting married in Liverpool. If you can just fool round with OBB till then, I promise we'll have a gay ole time. (That's just an Aussie expression). Mme. is itching to meet you and I'm just itching, period. Save a pink taxi for us, cobber.
Do I need to bring a caryatid or two, or have you and Lord Elgin have a quorum?
August, 2008: that's a date, MB.
And Lynn: I can't wait!
I need 8 beds and a stable of somekind don't worry about Mungo we'll just tie him to a stake. Breakfast at noon, a bit of drinking and you can start the entertainment about 3pm.
Is Wednesday ok?
I'll have the groom clean the stables.
