Poor Lucy. I know the feeling. I found Polar Express on TV last night, and one of my kids scolded me by saying, "Hey, Christmas is over!"

But, the countdown to my BIRTHDAY is still going on, sugar! :D xoxoxoxo

Hee hee, Robyn! It was playing over here, too, though I confess to reading a book instead.

The last and greatest day of the year is speeding toward us, Savannah. Having hated Old Year's Night with a passionate venom for decades (see posts passim) at last I have reason to celebrate it. I shall be raising a glass to you of course.

It was officially over when I had to return to work today. And we were busy enough during the holiday weekend that I didn't make it all the way through A Christmas Carol. But that's ok; I know how it ends :-)

WV: balygeog: a creature that should have been in the Tolkien trilogy, but was inadvertently left out.

Ah, back to work already. What a bummer, Ms.M.
Having said that, I like to work through the Christmas break as it gives me time to catch up, but my new office doesn't do that so I'm stuck here with the housework.
Yes, it's a classic ending to A Christmas Carol; the bit where the liner sinks and the dog rescues Tiny Tim from the well just before the aliens land always gets me right there.
And the balygeog should go straight into Tolkien's bestiary. A splendid name.
