Well, um ... well. Do you think they're both trying to watch the hockey game?

Or is it a pre-production illustration for the "Real Story of Batman and Robin"?

Eerie! I could see these two sitting on the parapet of a haunted castle. They'd also make great bad guys in an animated movie.

I'm developing a love-hate relationship with it.

Hee hee, Speedway. No, it's one of the many Jacob Epstein statues dotted around London's tube network. This one is on the façade of the gloriously brutal Art Deco headquarters of London Underground that sits astride St.James's Park tube station like a vast, glowering monster.

Ms.M. I think Pixar would freak out if they saw the statues that surround this building. They'd give animators nightmares.

Ummm indeed, Neetzy.

Me too, Petrea. This particular set of statues (yes, there are more, one of which I posted many years back and others that may yet appear) are both creepy and compelling. When seen in the context of the whole building they make perfect sense, yet the use of the building (the underground transport headquarters) does not fit it at all; it would be best served as the London HQ of some evil and secretive corporation.

Why must they force those penises at us? :D It is creepy and cool, true true. I don't think Pixar is ready for this either. Could we get a loin cloth over here fellas? The little guy looks cold.

Male sculptors have always loved carving willies, Shan. It's something they apparently never grow out of. I'm sure the guys at Pixar would LOVE to do a risqué animation one of these days.
