Watch out this weekend for the first cookery post in a long time, plus the best and the worst from the office Christmas Bake-Off.
In the meantime, kick your festive ass into gear with a glorious seasonal "Live From Daryl's House".
The Blind Boys of Alabama come to visit and spread some seriously righteous Gospel cheer.
Consider this your Christmas card this year. If I could send it to everybody I would. So many high points and "Oh, wow" moments. "Go Tell It On The Mountain" is a real rouser and "Midnight Clear" so beautiful it hurts, but the whole episode is a heartwarming seasonal hug.
Enjoy!

Looking forward to seeing the cookery post especially the finished product..
I was so busy getting the 50 sausage rolls and 47 (should have been 48 but I ate one)! mini mince pies in the freezer that I forgot to take a photo.
Don't bake yourself to a standstill.
Now you know how to watch Daryl's shows on your computer, take a break this morning and enjoy this one. It's a doozy.
Thank you for the great Christmas card! The Blind Boys of Alabama are amazing!
Looking forward to seeing "what's cookin'", too.
Thank you, Dive! The music is beautiful and inspiring. Co-workers last night were telling fruitcake miseries, all very funny.
Ms.M it was my pleasure.
Speedway, being a fruitcake is misery; eating one, however …
thanks Dive. I love the blind boys and am impressed that Darryl Hall is promoting them! I started with a rocking Born in Bethlehem and Midnight Clear sounded beautiful afterwards.
It's good to spread some righteous seasonal cheer, Neetzy.
