Supper … Splat!

Don't you just love it when that happens?
I've always hated those word verification things, but this week Blogger threw two actual words at me. Yay!

"Supper" at Vanda's …

… and a quite wonderful "Splat!" over at Todd's.

I'm glad you have had the time to finally post something. I'm counting down to Tuesday and Paris!

I usually get stuff like "slupper" and "splot." Close, but no cigar.

Hee hee. My first wv this morning was 'manga'. I didn't take a picture though.

I have noticed a trend toward actual readable verifications lately. I find them helpful as well as entertaining.

(I am reminded of my own remedial computer skills by this as I would have NO IDEA how to capture these pages as images.) :)

Shan, to "capture" part or all of the screen, if you are using a Mac, you can use the keys Command, Shift, and 4 all at the same time. You will see the cursor change to a little circle with cross-hairs. You can drag it from upper left to lower right to highlight what you want. It will appear on your desktop as a "png" file.

I hope this opens new doors for you.

Dive, Must be your lucky week :). I get word verifications like Petrea's...

Wow thanks Lupine Lady! I DO have a Mac :). And now I have a new ability! I'll definitely need to write this down...or do I just capture the page? Hmmm...

I don't use any of the control functions! I've only gotten to know computers in the last few years as I always worked on mouths and not keyboards!

It's almost Tuesday Dive!

Lucky for you, Dive, that Tuesday arrives earlier for you than for us, here in the States. So we'll be up early to see your photos of Katie waiting for YOU, instead of your stealth photos of you waiting for Katie. Two more days! Woohoo, a vacation.

Lupine Lady: I'm counting down, too, but probably more frantically than you. Sheesh! I've not been on vacation since 1994 (or 5 - I honestly can't remember) so this is all new and exciting to me.

Savannah: It certainly will be! Yay!
xoxoxoxo

Petrea: Me, too. I've been getting nothing but gobbledigook for years and now suddenly two words in one week. I've been yearning for a swearword but I think that's too much to ask.

Vanda: Wow! Manga? Awesome!

Shan: Read on and Lupine Lady will make it all clear.

Savannah: Mmmmmm … I'll try to drag Katie in there, though I've not budgeted for wine this trip. My wine rack has … hang on … fifty six bottles in it at the moment (the oldest being a Caves Borlido 1966), so I'll have to drink some before I go filling it up again.
Come to think of it, that's not such a bad idea.
xoxox

Lupine Lady: you're a star. I'll just add that to capture the whole screen is Command+Shift+3.

Ms.M: I do hope it's a good omen (well maybe not the "splat").

Shan: Yay Mac users! You don't use the control functions? Sheesh! A few minutes getting used to those will save you a tremendous amount of time, plus you'll be able to type in all the French accents, Spanish tildes, Japanese characters, etc. without thinking about it. Shortcuts do just what they say on the box. Have fun!
And yes, I know how close Tuesday is getting by the size of my ironing pile and the amount of housework I have still left to do today as I'll be in London Monday and Tuesday before I leave. Yikes!

Lupine Lady: Woohoo indeed! I'll be taking lots of photos (inevitably), but those will have to wait until we get back to Blighty as I think Katie has filled our social calendar way too much to allow for blog posting.
I can't wait!

Shan, I've sent you an email with a list of some key command shortcuts.

Two real words. You are on a lucky streak. How are you getting to Paris? Swimming the Channel? Please give the lovely and talented Katie a greeting from me when you see her. I think you two are going to have a grand time touring, dining, wining, --------- and probably some other "activities."

I feel honored to have contributed to this tom-foolery in some electronic way!

PS if you pop over to the Wondering Robot you'll see my Paris wave to you all.
