Ms.M. I think people would pay even more to go on the thing if a bit of danger and excitement were added to the mix. I've been on it many times and it feels way too safe to be thrilling; it's just like sitting in your living room watching London on TV; you get no sense of height.
I like rides like this. I like tall buildings and skyline views. But I've known people who can't bear heights, and that's all there is to it. I don't push it. We all have our fears.
Maria, try as you might, you won't be able to jump out of the Eye. There are seats all down the middle of the gondolas for those of a nervous disposition and it is just like sitting in your living room watching a surround-screen TV.
Mum, if you fall, you only hit the floor … and look silly.
Petrea, you'll have to go for a ride on the Eye when you come to London. If nothing else at least you can make sense of where everything is from up there.

I am pretty sure that I would absolutely get the height. This is going to sound completely um..weird and unnatural...and ok, a bit wacko..
Whenever I am up high and there is nothing in front of me to hold me back, I get this almost unthinkable urge to...jump.
