This was taken at the start of last Friday's office day trip (where we went will be revealed in due course), before the clouds and rain roared in and made much moistness, as predicted in Friday's subject-related post.
Anyhoo … Who can resist Saint Paul's in the sun? I only wish the churchyard was still as it was in Dickens' day: a warren of small press printing sheds and booksellers, clustered around the walls. It was like that in Shakespeare's day, too, even though it was a different cathedral back then before the fire. Whither London's small presses? Alas, they are scattered to the suburbs. There's a lovely one on Rochester Row a few doors from my old office but they're miles apart now, which is a great shame for a lover of small press books like myself. Hey ho.
Enjoy Saint Paul's and have a spiffy Sunday.
If you want something to read and a giggle, try this.

Τηαλαττα, Τηαλαττα!
Νo Photoshop wankery; straight out of the camera. Oooh, sparkly!
And yes, it's the bit down at the lower right of the photo in the previous post, from a different angle and zoomed in a bit. Blow it up and see if you can count the sparkly bits.

Moist Friday
Not so much a "Where Am I" post today, as it's pretty obvious. This is where I'll be later this morning, wending my merry way along the Sarf Benk toward Parliament, where I'll be herding cats on our office day trip.
It's going to piss down with rain all day in London so our planned five mile stroll along the river will be somewhat moister than the last time I was there a couple of weeks ago (see above).
Behave yourselves while I'm away.
Toodle pip from rainy Olde England!

Old Dive's Motorsport Photography School
Speedway, being Queen of Indy Circuit high speed car porn photography, will back me up on this: when a car is travelling at well over a hundred miles per hour; no matter how good your panning technique …
… no matter how pin-sharp your manual focusing; no matter how spot-on your shutter speed (that magical and very narrow window that stops the car dead but keeps its wheels moving - something that your camera's "sport" mode will never achieve, so leave it switched to manual) …
… No matter how good you are …
… that fucking post will always get in the way. Damn, damn, damn, damn, damn!
Nothing that a bit of Photoshop wankery can't fix, however. What the hell did I do before Photoshop?
