Folk saw things differently during the Industrial Revolution. We see a slight dip with a little puddle at the bottom; they saw a raging torrent at the foot of a precipitous gorge and built accordingly.
We will have to ask Phil and Dawn that one, but the photos are really good, so should be a lot more. although not like Dive not to know all about it, the walking encyclopaedia…whoops have i spelt that right?

Quite a magnificent bridge. Is the land (beneath the bridge) marsh or wetlands? And lovely shadows on the hills.
