You could always plant one in your garden. It's a plane tree (platanus x hispanica aka London Plane), and thanks to some practical joker in eighteenth century California, it's known as the California Oak over there., though it is in no way related to oaks and is in fact a cousin of the maples.

That's beautiful, Dive, though it reminds me more of poured concrete I've seen in some old retaining walls than it does any plain ol' tree.
