There's something M.C. Escher-ish about the shot. The effect is more pronounced in b&w, I guess because the pattern of the arches has more contrast.I think the man in a robe may be a flagpole with the flag wrapped around it, Ms. M, and an aerial sticking out from the top of the pole.
