B&W Again

Gazing disconsolately out at the croquet lawn, Jeeves shuddered at the prospect of washing all this bloody lot up. Again.

Wash the dishes. By hand. Wipe the dishes. By hand. Stack with pads between. By hand. Set the table. By hand. Listen to blithering idiots as their silverware scratches and scrapes the carefully tended tableware. Plan murder (by hand). Swallow pride. Clear the table. (Repeat.) A man's work is never done. Of course, it's a fantasy.

Speedway, I WISH my washing up were just a fantasy. Oh, for a dishwasher or a butler or a scullery maid.
Mmmm … scullery maid … where can I get me one of those?
Er …

Well, *traditionally*, one either hires a maid or marries one.

Poor Jeeves. At least he doesn't work in a factory. These are some nice digs.

Jeeves could always sprinkle a little arsenic into the curry...

Speedway, I scanned the local ads and nary a maid was to be found for hire, nor for matrimony (though there's probably a creepy website for that somewhere).

Nice digs indeedy, Petrea. Blickling Hall again, and the servants' quarters are rather yummy.

I think you just read his mind, Ms.M.
