Pup and Kidney pie?

Here's an interesting tidbit I found on Wikipedia:
"The English tradition of meat pies dates back to the Middle Ages, when an open top pie crust was used as the container for serving the meat and was called a coffyn."

Puppies? Looks more like kitty pie to me, served up on a nicely fringed antimacassar for gentlemen customers. The Mss. Henrietta and Magdalene went to the shoppe to try one for themselves and found it was tuna pie.
