News From The Real World

This (please click the link) tickled me at the weekend.
I love the Sarah Palin gag.
Newsbiscuit seems to have hit a run of form recently.
Here are a couple more that I liked:
Mythological Weapons
Sports Coverage.

Happy Monday.

Someday you'll realize the joke's on your kind, Dive. tsk tsk ;) It's weird having frenamies. But kinda fun too. teehee

Do you read The Onion? Jamey likes it.

Shan: the joke has been on my kind for at least 52 years now. I'm kind of used to it.
I'm a great fan of The Onion; Newsbiscuit is an English copy of it; not as good but occasionally funny (as this week).

Ahhh. okay, okay. I take back the frenemy bit. I know how it is to feel old . And on these days you just need all the friends you can get without a lot of physical effort involved. Fifty two is super young for healthy organic fellas who avoid fast food. You'll feel spunky again soon I just know it! :)

I'm actually feeling pretty good, Shan, though still giggling at the thought of you feeling old; you're still such a cute little girl! Hee hee.

The Palin bit is good, and I the Mythological Weapons article is a real kick. The Onion's wicked good. One of today's headlines:
"American Voices: Phones May Help Diagnose STDs"

Happy Monday, indeed!

Neetzy: No apology necessary; simply spread the Good Word.

Ms>M: I'm afraid (much as I love The Onion) that the std phone app story is true, and comes from good old Britland. The NHS really have developed a chip that can plug into your mobile phone after you've peed on it (I kid you not) and that will analyse the results and send you a text telling you what - if anything - you've been drunk and foolish enough to catch.
As they said on Wait Wait Don't Tell Me last week: 'That's great news for kids, so long as they don't mind having a phone that smells funny.'

Really, really funny, especially coming from the state responsible for Boehner.

The STD phone story is true?? I should have known better than to trust the Onion ;)

Robyn: So glad it made you smile.

Ms.M: Never trust the press!
