Still feeling like crap but working it off. Bleah.

HA! Great pic, and good sentiment, though I tend to side with the hippy. (Always thought it was spelled "hippie," but maybe that's an American thing or a me thing.)

Sorry you feel bad. We had crap running through our house, too.

Besides that, let me whine for a little. I am tired, I am depressed and I am still broke in sprite of overextending myself. The kids are stressing me out--once they get back to school, it's time for the perpetual middle-school girl issues with both of them.

If I had the time, I would cry. Then my sinuses would probably feel better, come to think of it.

You might try a good cry with some hot sauce. Then you could clear your brain, head and sinuses at the same time. And if it's your stomach, you could barf fire and be done with it. Natural remedies are always best.

I looked at this post at 4:00am whilst awake against my own wishes. It made me LAUGH. I am a little bit of a Capitalist though I suppose. :D
I think you and KMG both need to get hold of a Neti-pot pronto and feel better soon (not that I've used one myself before, but the rave reviews must be worth something).

Katherine: So sorry to hear crappiness has spread both sides of the pond. I hope it departs soon and leaves you happy and refreshed.

I always side with the hippies. And you are right: capitalist graffiti scrawlers cannot spell.

Savannah: xoxoxoxox right back at ya. Thank you; that was much needed.
Great word verification, too!

Shan: Neti pot? Eww! Hee hee.
Katherine already cheered me up beyond measure by introducing me to the fabulous Mosque Alarm Clock. We both have one now and can wake to the wonderful sound of the Islamic call to prayer belting out of our little Mosques at full volume. It's a hoot (and of course a reminder to be thankful each morning).
I wonder if anyone makes a Christian version with a cute little English Church ringing a carillon. I'd enjoy that.

Well, this would make my day if Dive didn't feel like crap and Katherine wasn't depressed and broke. Does it make you feel better that I've had a lousy cold for five days?

Wish I could cheer you both up, but maybe Alifan, savannah and Shan did that.

Okay I have to admit this live on Dive's blog: since he bought his first Mosque alarm clock, I had to buy a second. Yup. A pink one. The chanting on this is a little different--sounds like the morning offering is being given by the Chipmunks.

Cheers!

Katherine said...

Petrea, feel better!!! And do try Mosque alarm clock therapy. For maximum benefit, put the clock out of arm's reach. I assure you that you WILL get out of bed when that alarm sounds.

Dive, I do hope you feel better. I want one of those Mosque Alarm clocks and this graffiti made me laugh! So it seems there are tea-party minded people in Britain as well. I find most assholes cannot spell. But I should talk. My spelling can be horrendous when I blog.

Was this "message" left in Smallville? It looks like something that could be found "on the wall" in the town where I live....

I hope all of you who are not feeling well recover soon.

Petrea: How on earth can anybody catch cold in Pasadena? I do hope it clears up soon so you can bask in the sunshine there.

Katherine: A pink Mosque? Woohoo!

Neetzy: Yes, regrettably, the ignorant are not confined to your shores; we have right-wingers over here, too (hey, we're the continent that gave the world Fascism).
This particular specimen seems to have confused wage-slavery with happiness (and tragic spelling).
I weep for my country.

Ms.M: The people in Smallville cannot yet read or write. No, this little exchange sits in an alley in Norwich beside the unemployment centre (which makes both messages seem pretty incongruous).

I'm on the mend, thank you.

Hey, even hippies have jobs.

And what if the question was meant for someone who picks his nose or eats stinky tuna for lunch or who walks on his hands?

dive said...

Good point, Robyn. Odd, but good. Hee hee.

Why you ask? Because all of us ignorant right-wingers have to support all those on the dole!
Just Sayin!

I too have been sick for 2 weeks. Finally went to the Dr. yesterday. I have a sinus infection and bronchitis and now super duper drugs. I can't wait to feel less than shitty again.

Yikes, Prudence! Seems like everyone's feeling shitty this week.
Get well soonest!

And hey, we Socialists pay taxes, too. Hee hee.

Well, there is a discourse, even if it's a bit muddy.

Petrea Burchard said...

I thought I could escape, but even in southern California we have germs.

Sorry you're feeling bad too, Prudence. I hope the meds help. God, I hope I don't have this for two weeks.

dive said...

Vanda, I regret the quality of debate in Norwich is not what it once was.

Petrea: So sorry you've been invaded by horrid germs. Leave a Seattle vacations brochure lying around the house and perhaps they'll fly off somewhere more conducive to colds and misery.
