Happy birthday to us!
Yay!
I'd blow one of those party things but I don't have one.
Or a cake.
Dammit!
Having got back on line, however, I find myself with nothing to say, so I'll just wish Robyn a Happy Blog Birthday and then ingest copious amounts of caffeine and alcohol until I can think of something.

Happy blog birthday, old blogpal Dive. I'm a little spent myself, but maybe something will come along to inspire us. What happens to blogs when they die, I wonder?
And I love the comic. Sometimes blogging seems like pointless, incessant barking, don't you think?
Love the cartooooon! Happy Blogversary to you and Robyn! Here's to more years of blogging!
happy blogversary, sugar! xoxoxox
(i'm on a break for #1 son's wedding. blogging will resume next week.)
Happy blog birthday to both of you! Incessant barking is okay on blogs!
Haha! That's funny!
Welcome back to the Onlines. We have held the Dive sized portal open for you ( Said in a peaceful futuristic computer voice, of course).
Well, I've been a horrible computer friend and I'll just admit it right now.
I saw that Robyn had her anniversary and I made a note to self to go and wish her a happy one and nag her not to quit. But alas, it is sometimes hard to blog- I know this all too well. I am on a peaceful strike until the man of the house spruces up my design or changes me over to wordpress. We'll see if that will motivate me to make some memories.
Happy 4th to you and Robyn!!! You guys started many of us off!! Salute!
Wow. 4? That's big. I don't think most blogs last that long. If you can't find a party thing to blow, then toot your own horn.
Love that cartoon..oh, congrats on 4 years...I wish the pointless incessant barking dog next door to me would go back to his blogging! At least I'd have some quiet when I venture into my back yard.
Welcome back, and to both of you congratulations.
What would I do without you both besides housework, so hope the old blog brains come forth again in the future!
Hee hee! ... Happy birthday, SGP.
Love the cartoon.

Happy Blog Birthday to you, too, young Robyn!
I think when blogs die they decompose and make a big stinky mess in the internet, so we'd better keep ours alive, eh?
Joy: Let's hope we can keep it going.
Savannah: Yay! Congratulations on the wedding! Now that I have internet access again I'll check back to see the photos next week.

Neetzy: Thank you. Pointless incessant barking is something I have become quite good at over the past four years.
Shan: Get Jamey off his highly musical and cute ass and stand over him tapping your foot impatiently until he has spruced up your blog to your satisfaction.
Petrea: Hee hee. I think my own horn is out of tune but I'll give it a toot anyway.
"PARP!"
Cynthia: Yes, it's one of my favourite old Noo Yorker cartoons. They always make me giggle.
Did you know you can get an ultrasonic device that you fix to your boundary fence that emits a nasty shriek in dog frequencies whenever it picks up the sound of barking? It should soon teach the pesky thing to shut up and let you enjoy some peace and quiet.
Mum: The blog-brain is empty at the moment. I held it upside-down and shook it but all that fell out was a dead spider.
Hey ho.
Lucio: Thank you so much. I've been celebrating by buying lots of new bookcases. Photos to follow when the place looks less like an explosion in a bookshop.
Happy BBday! You must have cake though. Cake first then alcohol.
Vanda: Oops! I've already had the alcohol.
And I still have no cake!
The only reasonable solution seems to be more alcohol.
Cheers!
I wonder if blog years are like dog years. If so, you've had an online presence a long time! Congrats on 4 years of blogging.
A round of applause for 4 years of blogging! And welcome back to the internet!
Katie: It certainly feels longer than four years. Sheesh!
Ms.M: I bow gracefully in thanks for your applause. And yes, nice as it was to be free of the internet for a while it is much nicer to be back.
Wow Dive, that's amazing; how four years can just whip by in the blink of an eye.
Bark away dear until the inspiration returns. Mind you, I think it's catching -there are a few of us who are bereft of blogging energy at the moment.
For me, I think facebook has a lot to answer for; all those games that are intriguing and now I have most of my younger family members - sisters, nieces and nephews, brother, his girlfriend, etc etc who demand my online attention whereas once upon a time I only had my blog buddies to talk to. Even my mother just emails me these days and rarely picks up the phone to speak with me. Today she arrived in Adelaide for a three week visit (not staying with me) and I received a text message saying "just landed". I send a text back and that was it. No conversation at all today. I guess tomorrow will be different but it is odd, isn't it?
You simply can't let your blog die though dear; one of the excitements of my week was the fiction incorporating a given line. I so admire the extraordinary creativity of you writers and loved reading them. The cooking thing was fascinating too because you use ingredients sometimes that I've never even heard of. And then there are the rants and the deconstruction of the bible was one of the most amazing and thoroughly researched pieces I've ever read.
So my dear, happy birthday. 4 is a very lucky number :)
Mme, you do say the very nicest things. Thank you so much for the ego boost.
I went back and read a few of the godbothering posts and I can't quite believe where I found all that time to sit with The Bible and a load of histories and commentaries and research all that ranty rubbish.
The other thing is that these days I don't really feel passionate enough about it all to work up a good rant.
Yes, Facebook has taken away most of Blogville but I am determined to resist its dubious charms.
Once my body clock adjusts so that I am not wide awake at four in the morning I might be able to stay awake in the evenings and blog again.
