Still Raining

Blah …

… blah …

… and thrice blah.

That's pretty beautiful blah-blah-blah, Dive.

That said, I love the rich colors, Dive, and wish that my little camera was able to provide the beautiful detail, such as in the back-lit leaves, that you show here.

Actually, I took half a dozen more but they were mostly out of focus. Your little camera tales perfect photos of raindrops on leaves; it was your picture of those a couple of days ago that inspired me to venture out the back door and snap these of my big old Dutch honeysuckle all a'drippin'.

Oh, and there's a self-portrait hidden in today's post: the droplet at the top left of the first shot has an accidental refection of me in it, though you have to blow it up to see.

Pretty way to make "jewels" out of the blahness of all the rain.

We've gotten some sunshine here today; I'll send some your way.

Many thanks, Ms.M. The gift of sunshine is something we could dearly do with over here at the moment. We're between rainstorms at the moment but looking out of the window the sky is covered with a great big damp grey duvet. So depressing, week after week after week …

Oh dear think we all feel the same, but the photos are good…
and we have good friends to cheer us up!

These are lovely, David. I can't make out the self-portrait, though. I"ll have to take your word for it.

I'm with Scout, trusting you on that self-portrait. It hardly matters, with what looks like a sunny glow in your raindrops. I hope it lasts.

I've often thought I'd love to live in England, but I'd best be careful about that. When I go too long without sun I'm saddened, literally, and I need some light in the sky to cheer me up. When I spent six weeks in England some years ago, more than four weeks were warm and bright. The last two weeks of my visit gave me a taste of what it's like most of the time, though.

Oh the sun is shining this morning.

I will upset Dive and put 'The Sun has got his hat on' and he will be singing that in his head all day tee he!

Lovely photos. The remind me of an Ansel Adams photo that hung in my Dallas office. Liked it for its micro-ness, while most of his famous stuff is so very macro.

BTW - young Davey popped by for a visit on Sunday. Seems he got a chain letter.

BTW 2 - I'm mapping out a new Jarvis & Smith series.

:^D

Alifan, I'm glad to hear that "the sun has got his hat on" -- finally. May the sunshine continue!

Well, I can't make out the self-portrait, either, Dive. It pixilates when I enlarge it enough that I should make out your image.

Our sun has taken its hat off and gone to bed, covered up by your gray duvet. Hiding its head under the covers?

So pretty. I love close ups of raindrops.
