You're back to being a bloggin' fool. How nice.

My word verification is "paino oingete." Sounds Italian for...?

I'm sure I cooked paino oingete just the other evening, Petrea; I'll have to look up the recipe.

The main reason I'm a blogging fool today is that after all that Barolo I got a little tipsy and decided to post my dinner. Drunk blogging is rarely a good idea (unlike octopus krasato and Barolo, which is always a splendid idea).

I don't think there's a nice fish market nearby. I think I'll wait until my next work assignment takes me downtown, then go to a nearby sushi bar for dinner - where I'll get the stuff I know I'll like, then order one little iffy octopod to test. How big is your octopod, Dive? The ones at the store are about 2-2and1/2 inches from head to toe, so to speak.

Never ask a man the size of his octopod, Speedway!
It all depends on the time of year (and where in the world you are). Over here in early Spring I can get them really tiny, like teaspoon sized, but now they're a little larger. Most sushi bars (unless you're in Japan, London or maybe San Francisco) won't have them raw; they'll probably be cooked and then either pickled or preserved in oil, so they'll be chewy and pretty flavourless rather than melt-in-your-mouth delicious like they are fresh. You need to move to the coast (or pop over here for a vacation and I'll cook them for you).

Yum on both counts. What a spiffy Sunday you had.

Looks delizioso!

Happy Sunday to you, too.

It is not my cup of tea, but glad you enjoyed it, not sure either that the wine and a big plateful of food will help with the weight loss, but maybe start to have a smaller plate from now.

That sounds like a nagging Mum which I am as I need you to keep fit and well. But I am so pleased both my boys can cook.

It was spiffy, Robyn, but it's gone and it's already Monday evening. Sheesh! Life whizzes past to fast these days I can hardly make out what's happening.

Thank you, Ms.M. It's a staple in my house (in season) … Barolo is a staple all year round.

Mum, it's definitely not a cup of tea. And hey! What's fattening about onion, garlic, fresh octopus, tomatoes, herbs and olives? I could have gone out for pizza!
