Phil spotted this one.
He said "Shopping can be a real pain in the ass."
I must confess that none of those things are on the top of my shopping list. I mean who in their right minds would shop for diarrhœa? Sheesh!

Hopefully I will never have to shop in that aisle. I just noticed that my favorite grocery store now has a full selection of condoms right next to the toothpaste. Back in my hey day those were in the drugstore only. Back then I always took my condom purcheses up to the youngest and cutest female clerk.
Hey at least they have the different ailments segregated so you don't end up with the wrong meds. I can't get over the British spelling of haemorrhoids though. Do you pronounce it haymer-hoids? And I don't even want to know what IBS means.
Katie: Irritable Bowel Syndrome. It's a...general term for...well, for all the things that bring one to shop in that aisle.
What a nice way to start Monday morning!!
Hope the trains are not too bad....if you venture to London today....
Mark: I think that as we get older we will all end up cruising that aisle at some point, though whether you still choose the cutest female clerk will be a tough decision.
Katie: It's the same æ ligature as in encyclopædia, though most people mispronounce it the US way (the pernicious influence of American TV and Websters accursed simplified spellings). There's a ranty and needlessly pedantic post in there somewhere but I'm too busy to write it right now.
Petrea: Thank you, and eww.
Mum: Yes, I made it in to London, though it was snowing again when I left the house at 5 this morning and the roads were treacherous with ice and the few trains that are running are getting in around an hour late.
What a joy it is to return to commuting after the holidays.
I only know because of a friend of a friend.
I was going to comment on how hard it is to spell it in American English, but that's been covered. But, back to Katie's question--is it hay-mer-oids? hee-mer-oids? It's no laughing matter.
Petrea I thought IBS was "Irritable British Syndrome" so thanks for clearing that up!
You Brits (or whatever the politically correct term is) are so frightfully direct. US drug stores have proper euphemisms for this sort of stuff.
Hahahaha Katie!
Ah, the aisle for digestive pleasures -- may none of us have to visit this aisle very often.
LOL, Katie!
I'd feel bad for the people who actually do shop in that aisle.
Good zing Katie!
Cowboy hats and Hemmorrhoids. What do they have in common?

Sooner or later every asshole gets one.
Ba-dum dum
Dive dear; I think I'd shop for diarrhoea before haemorrhoids. LOL
Hahahahaha. You guys are on fire like a case of the flaming hamer hoids!! I had to come back and read the comments after shooting straight to the next post(IBS style).
Ha! Here's a post I must send to a friend who enjoys scatalogical humor!
Incidentally, my surgery requires I take stool softeners. Women who recently delivered babies also have to take those. But you're a man. What do you know? LOL!
My daughter was chastised for using "the defecation hit the oscillator" in her AP Gov class!
