Dive, enjoy your Christmas baking the little pink desserts. Meanwhile, I'll indulge my fetish for Hostess Twinkies.
Sadly, I think I'll have to knit a man of my own out of cat hair. I'd hope he'd come out like Antonio Banderas, but once again, a dream would die. He'd probably behave like Puss'n'Boots, licking himself all the time: I'd open the door to the bedroom and Puss/Antonio would look up, turning to me with his tongue sticking out, and I'd fall, laughing and snorting, to my knees.
Yeh, Dive, I recall reading that post. I wouldn't expect you to like them. Myself, I only like the creme filling. The bakery was forced out of business a few years back and several companies bought the recipes. Also, a few local bakeries (real bakeries, not factories) make their own versions as Twinkie, HoHo, and Hostess cupcakes. YUM.
Sorry -- I'm running a bit behind this week. Although by now you've had time to bake plenty of festive "pastries". And we want to see photos - our pastries weren't NEARLY as exciting.

Dive, this is funny. But the cat hair thing made me laugh 'til I cried.
I always enjoy a good bake, Savannah, xoxoxoxo.
Petrea, you can still order that book online. I am sorely tempted.
