Where Did The Blues Skies Go?

I'm driving to Cambridge today in the fog. A dull day with a dull meeting. To cheer myself up, this is Cathedral Close taken on the first of January, just before the organ recital. Pretty, huh?

We woke up to deep fog here, too, this morning! *sigh* BUT, the temps around here are supposed to go up into the low to mid 70's (21C or so). So, I should be looking at gorgeous skies today! I love the South! ;~) xoxoxox

Gray here again today, with rain expected to wash away the remaining snow. It should be in the 60s this weekend, but rainy. The water from the melting snow will help to relieve the drought conditions that have reduced the Mississippi R to record lows.

I love the morning light, the way its gold spreads across the lawn and is reflected from the edges of the trees. It's beautiful, Dive.

Mum, the fog was bleah, but I got there and back safely.

Whooee, Savannah! I love the South, too. Unfortunately I live way up near the Arctic but at least I can dream of strolling your Spanish moss-strewn boulevards.
Sigh …

Speedway, I wish we could send you and Ol' Miss some of the record rainfall we've had this year. Great parts of the country have been underwater for months and there's no let up.

Yes, the morning light was gorgeous. Bloody freezing, but gorgeous nonetheless. It looks like early morning, but it was eleven o'clock. The sun doesn't creep too far above the horizon up here in winter.

That's a lovely scene, refreshing to my eyes because we've had snow and freezing rain all bloody week here! Driving anywhere is a royal pain. Tonight the wind has picked up and is creating wonderful new snowdrifts for tomorrow morning's commute.

Hope you got to and from your destination safely today. And thanks for letting me rag about the weather :-)

You can rag about the weather all you like, Ms.M. You live up in the Rockies where the weather is truly ragworthy.
I moan about the weather because I'm English and that's what we do, even though it's moderate compared with yours.
