Sunday Street - Irony

"Irony" - associated with iron.
In this case the plethora of balconies and bridges criss-crossing the narrow streets behind London's South Bank wharves.
Today's street is Gainsford Street, just off the southern end of Tower Bridge, looking east toward Butler's Wharf. Trendy restaurants ahoy!

Quite a bit of "irony" there. I like how the little flags add bursts of color.
Nice photo!

I like the little flags, too. Flagonry.

Ms.M the old bridges look slightly odd until you realise they are gardens and walkways between the flats. A nice place to sit on a hot day (though not in our current snow-fest).

New word of the day; thanks, Petrea.

Upon a closer look, I see lawn chairs, potted plants on some of the walkways. That would be a nice place to hang out on a summer's day.

It sure would, Ms.M. A flat by Tower Bridge, however, costs more than I'll earn in my lifetime.
