Doh! A Deer …

There's random and then there's just plain weird.

Who should turn up in the Goodwood paddock but the … er …
von Trapp Family Singers?

Deep breath … "Doh, a deer … etc."

 With dancing!

And clothes made out of your granny's curtains.

Actually, they were pretty good, but the question remains … "What the fuck?"

Anyhoo … Once they'd doh'd the deer dead, they wandered off with the rest of us to watch the start of the vintage motorcycle racing.

Funny old thing, life …

It's good they weren't performing in the manor house where the outfits would blend into the wallpaper. People would've been frightened off by the singing of disembodied limbs.

On your last picture, are mechanics a bit bulgier now than they were in the 20th century?

It was weird, mum.

Speedway, you should write film scripts.

Sheebee, yes they are, especially the one writing this.

Darn it -- now I have THAT SONG in my head!

I'm enjoying your Goodwood pics though...

Now that I think about it (some three years later) the movie version of The Sound of Music was premiered in 1965. It's a stretch, but maybe that's how the group was included.
And I am not a bit of spam, unlike the above post.
