Woah Nellie!
Summer's here …
Hailstones the size of fricking ice cubes,
Lightning like a goddamned rock band's light show,
Flash. Crack, BOOOOOOM …
Road a raging river.
But just get outside and breathe in that air …
Mmmmm
Ain't nothing like it.

I agree. A summer storm with magnitude! Baby! There's nothing like it.
Painful, though; those hailstones really hurt when Mister Stupid decides to stand outside and see … er … how much those hailstones hurt.
Now I know.
The past couple weeks have seen near daily rainfall. You'd think we were an ocean side city rather than land-locked because the temps drop at night, bringing overnight storms.
Maybe you should check for hailstone damage on your head, Dive. Make sure the little dents are repaired with one of those little dimple sucker-outer hand-held thingys I see on late night TV. Sort of like mechanical hickeys, I think.
We've had rain, rain, rain and more rain, plus thunderstorms! Now, it looks as if a hurricane might swing by this weekend. This will be life in the south until November. BUT, we never have snow, so I am grateful. xoxoxo
Summer storms are amazing. My brother and I used to stand outside and watch them come in. We probably suffered a little hail damage, possible wind damage...
It's hot and dry here; in the low 90s (F).
The Joyce passage always brought to mind Shelly's, O world! O life! O time! On whose last steps I climb...
But then, everything reminds us of something.
