Gnarlyswirly

It's Friday, so it's anther of Phil's wonderful Indian Ocean driftwood photos to help us slip languidly into the weekend.
Actually, my weekend's going to be really busy but it will finish with a concert by Alina Ibragimova on Sunday evening so bring it on!
I love these driftwood shots; they make me want to reach for a pencil and draw them.

Ooo! I see a cat, a deer and part of an octopus. How fun!

Get drawing, mum. It's about time you started again.

Katherine, whatever psychedelic substances you're taking, may I please have some, too?
The OCD in me sees lots of lines that should be orderly and STRAIGHT. Hee hee.

er … WHICH part of an octopus?

This morning, I saw the eye and a tentacle of an octopus. Now I am more distracted by the head of the dolphin.

Makes me want to nap on a sunny beach.

Katherine, I see the profile of a cat sunbathing in a window, while an Afghan hound come out of the lower right to bark at whatever the cat has seen.

No drugs here - just effed up.

Me, too, Petrea.

Speedway, effed-up is the new stoned.

Fascinating lines and shapes! It's somewhat like seeing shapes in clouds. It would be fun to draw.

Enjoy the concert?

It's definitely fun to sketch these, Ms.M. Like following natures own doodles.
