A Life Less Interesting
I would love a coat that colour yummy.
It's a man thing! You females have to be grey-brown and drab while we males preen and bitch and squawk at one another. This is why you always choose drab brown 1970s style clothes when we're out shopping and why I mock them. Hee hee.
Now, Dive, I want to say that I understand what you're trying to tell your mum, but I want you to know that stylish, womanly clothes for females not actively in breeding mode are difficult to find. Or can be. I look around at the retired women I work with and am amazed at the numbers of them who so, well, neuter. Brown, black, and more brown. Yuch. But it could be much worse = she could be stuck in the 1980s wearing Madonna-style outfits, with her pointy bra on the outside.
Speedway, Mum wears great clothes; the 'brown' thing is just a standing joke we have.
Good! Great! I'm glad she hasn't joined the "poor ol' me" minions. While I'm defintely not the most fashionable woman around, I've made it one of my projects to not spend the rest of my life wearing drab clothes and polyester outfits that have pointy collars. YUCK! For so many women, it's as though they give up after "a certain age". And it's one of my rants.
Hee hee. Mum is cool, smart and elegant and my aunts (around the same age) look twenty years older and are constantly moaning at her to dress and act more like them (permed hair with blue rinses and old lady thrift store clothes). Sheesh!
What a gorgeous color and sheen! So hard to capture that kind of light.I painted an imaginary bird, Dive. It's on my art blog at http://katherinegotthardtart.blogspot.com/2013/02/uncaged-bird.html
Cool! Yours definitely has the sheen, Katherine.
so shiny! Go on male birds and show us who is worthy of our affections!
I hope you do not include Auntie Jan in the above!
Neetzy, you weemen shouldn't encourage that kind of behaviour.Mum, hell no! I wouldn't dare!
