Tree Tracery

Boy, howdy, I would hate to have this as a jigsaw puzzle …

That is so nice…cold but very arty!

It's definitely cold. No sunshine to take nice snow photos so this'll have to do.

That is so cool, Dive. I love the the blue and white light and the way it accents all the wrinkley directions of the black branches.

Sometimes the best pictures are taken when there is no sun out. The lighting is easier to manage. These trees are gorgeous, Dive.

Wow. Just wow.

I mean really. I can be so articulate.

The camera always lies, Speedway. I saw this as just grey branches against grey sky but the photo is straight out of the camera with no Photoshop dickery. Our brain tends to compensate for light and shade in a different way to a camera sensor.

Thanks, Katherine; they're pretty ordinary trees at the edge of a field at the bottom of my road; normally they're not worth photographing but the snow has allowed them their tiny moment of interweb fame and they can tell next year's seedlings that they've been admired by folk from across the ocean.

Hee hee, Petrea. Sometimes, "wow" is as articulate as anyone needs to be.

Fascinating photo with the weave of branches and light! It WOULD make a challenging jigsaw puzzle.

It would make an infuriating jigsaw puzzle, Ms.M. though those are usually the best kind.
