A tiny man balances on the end of a giant wooden screw …
Yes, we're back in the Cambridge Genome Research Park, so don't ask me the reason for all this; it's probably something to do with genome research, but then again it may be just a giant wooden screw with a tiny man balancing on the end.
Either way, today you get a bonus statue, even if it's just made of snow. The fact that this was created by the genome research people is slightly creepy; I wonder if it's really just a snowman or some genetically engineered monster.
Whatever … It snowed again last night and the world sucks ice cold ass this morning.

I like the idea of a little man balanced on the end of the screw, but I wondered, what role does a screw play that it would be outside a genome research place? So, couldn't this sculpture represent DNA, and with the blunt ends, would that be an Archimedes screw? Archimedes invented it, to move stuff so maybe the genome project could be said to elevate our knowledge? Or some such BS as that. I dunno, I'm just trying to make some sort of connection between the carving representing both DNA and Archimedes' invention.
I don't know, but that snowman does have an ominous looking expression like he knows something we don't, like the purpose of that giant screw.
Speedway, I'm going to have to check next time I'm out there; there's writing all round the screw thread so I'll take a look. Archimedes screws are the same diameter all the way up and DNA is a double helix so it's probably something from nature or medicine knowing the folk who live and work there.
It definitely has something of the smirk about it, doesn't it, Robyn? Worrying …
Sometimes a snowman is just a snowman, but i think this is proof positive that this so-called research park is part of the matrix and we're all doomed! xoxoxox
Could this snowman be channeling: "Screw you all! Bwhahah-hahahah!" ?
Hahahaha. Too funny, Savannah.

HA! Nice twist (sorry), Ms.M.
