Green and Pleasant Land

I want green and I want it now!
Nature's got the best idea: hibernation. Humans are African creatures; we're not evolved for this crap. I just want to go to sleep and wake up when it's spring. And if it means I can eat like a pig to build up fat for hibernation, so much the better. Why the hell is evolution such a slow process?

Fence, firs and farrows, all leaning away from the wind, trying to get to the warm.

I agree! We haven't seen blue sky or sunshine since mid December! Snow, fog, haze, inversion, ice, more snow, more fog.
Loooooooong siiiiiiiigh.....

Hopefully it's all gone now (it has here) but I'm with you on the hibernation front - more to avoid the SAD than the snow.

You've got to admit that it can be picturesque, that's one benefit.

Hee hee, Savannah.

It's much more picturesque now, Shiela. Almost all the snow is gone and we've just got the last of the jaggy grey heaps of ice left over.
